Today Russia president has announced that Russia recognizes 2 new States (Abkhazia and South Ossetia), and urges other countries of the world to do the same. But EU doesn’t want to do it because recognizes both regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia such as integral part of Georgia. Georgia president, after this answer of Russia, has said that Russia wants expanding its territory threating territorial integrity of Georgia. At this point, we find at the same point of Kosovo, recognized by USA and EU but not by Russia. Russia is playing the same game made months ago by USA and EU. Now we can’t forget that there is another State in the same conditions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, its name is Transnistria that is found between Moldova and Ukraina. Maybe also this State will ask the same treatment of other two States, that means, becoming internationally independent.

Both houses of Russia Parliament have recognized Abkhazia and South Ossetia like Independent States. This means that the shape and borders of Georgia will be different and hence that Russia doesn’t recognize more the territorial integrity of Georgia. This decision is very important and because this decision has stopped relations between Nato and Russia. Things will change in the future in caucasian region.
