A senior commander of a Ugandan rebel group has been killed in Central African Republic, a Ugandan military spokesman has said.
Brigadier Bok Abudema of the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) was killed in the town of Djema on Friday amid an ongoing operation by Ugandan forces across several countries in the region against the group.
“This was a New Year’s gift to Uganda,” Lieutenant Colonel Felix Kulayige, Uganda’s defence and army spokesman, said on Saturday.

Somalia’s Al-Shabab militants have seized a key-town from pro-government Ahlu Sunna Walajam’a fighters on Saturday, witnesses said.
Al-Shabaab overpowered the predominantly Sufi group in the town of Dusa-Mareb in the strategic central region of Galgadud.
Witnesses said al-Shabaab entered the town from two routes early in the morning and faced little resistance from Ahlu Sunna militants.

Italian soldiers in Afghanistan are veterans by 72 hours of fights. During a joint operation for controlling of some of the strategic outposts near Bala Morghab, in west of the Country, “soldiers of afghan security and of Isaf, between which the Italian soldiers - command in Herat explains - have been subject to repeated attacks by more than 60 insurgents“. No wounded between the Italians.
