Somalia: 17 killed and 28 injured in clashes between African Union troops and Government soldiers against al-Shabaab and Hizbul Islam fighters
At least 17 people have been killed and 28 injured in attacks by al-Shabaab and Hizbul Islam fighters on the African Union (AU) forces and Somali government soldiers in southern Mogadishu.
Meanwhile, the AU troops and pro-government forces attacked Bakara, an open market at the center of Mogadishu, where 7 civilians were killed in the crossfire.
In other clashes which broke out close to the market, 10 people were killed and 28 others wounded.
