Libya: Libyan rebels attack artillery positions of forces loyal to Muammar Gaddafi in Dafniya town, 20 miles west of Misurata
Rebels marked their four month of fighting against the Gaddafi regime on Friday and were seen firing rocket propelled grenades, machine guns and rocket launchers to combat artillery fire from forces loyal to the Libyan leader.
Barrages of artillery and missiles were reportedly hitting rebel lines as they continued trying to advance out of the besieged western city of Misurata and push towards the capital Tripoli.
As the violent clashes continued Colonel Gaddafi spoke to Libyan state television by telephone saying that Nato would be defeated.
