Yemen: Heavy gunshots between army and mujahideen of al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) ad Aden
According to news agency Xinhua, a huge blast was heard in Yemen’s main port city, the business capital of the country, Aden, Thursday night followed by heavy gunshots between the Saleh’s forces and Mujahideen of al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).
The firefight and blast rocked Aden after Mujahideen hurled two grenades at the judicial complex in al-Mualla district (see map), local resident told Xinhua.
The area is in the downtown of Aden, near one of the city’s ports. According to residents, the area nearby were rocked followed by power outage amid heavy shootings.
