The Syrian army resumed Tuesday its attack on the rebel city of Homs. “The bombing of Homs which began at dawn is the most violent in the past five days. On average, two rockets fall every minute,” stated Rami Abdel Rahman, head of the Syrian Observatory of Human Rights.
According to the organization, new clashes between the forces loyal to Bashar al-Assad and the rebels killed 29 people Monday, including 18 civilians.

Heavy fighting between ONLF forces and those of the Woyane-Ethiopian regime forces is currently taking place in the vicinity of Simane and Dundumo Cadka, near Babili. ONLF fighters from Gorgor (Eagle Unit) are engaging in severe fighting with Woyane-Ethiopian troops Military Convoy.
First reports provided by our frontline reporters indicate the operations undertaken by the Gorogor (Eagle)an unit which operates in and around the area resulted the death of 15 Ethiopian soldiers including high ranking military officials and the capture of huge caches of military supplies. The supplies included small arms, machine guns, sophisticated military radios, and a large cache of more modern medicines.

Peruvian Defense Minister Alberto Otarola announced Sunday that terrorist Jose Eleuterio Flores Hala, also known as ‘Comrade Artemio’, has been captured by security forces near the town of Tocache, San Martin.
Otarola said that the 50-year-old terrorist was found badly wounded and is receiving medical treatment.
The minister noted that Artemio’s capture resulted from the joint effort of the National Police and the Peruvian Army.

Clashes have broken out over a two-day period between the Shan State Army–South (SSA-S) and Burmese government forces after the Burmese troops attacked a Shan military base on Tuesday, the SSA-S says.
The hostilities appear to have shattered a fragile ceasefire which was signed late last year.
SSA-S spokesman Maj Sai Lao Hseng told The Irrawaddy on Friday that the SSA-S troops based in Mong Ping Township in eastern Shan State were currently engaged in battle with government troops.

Syrian security forces have renewed their assaults on the central cities of Homs and Hama, while anti-government forces are said to have killed soldiers in Idlib and a senior military official in Damascus, activists, rights groups and the state news agency report.
Opposition neighbourhoods in Homs were hit by tank and rocket bombardments on Saturday in the government’s continuing crackdown on protesters there, with the city’s Bab Amr area coming under concerted fire.
Rights groups say at least four people were killed during Saturday’s violence in Homs, and that three bodies of people who had been killed earlier were also recovered.
Security forces have also made house-to-house raids over the last two days in Homs, which has been under siege for the last week, anti-government activists have said. They say at least 300 people have been killed there since the government’s latest assault began on February 4.
