Pakistan: 10 soldiers killed in cross-border attack in Dir district
Afghan terrorists on Sunday attacked a military convoy in Upper Dir, resulting in the killing of at least 21 people, including terrorists and soldiers.
According to reports, Afghan militants attacked a military convoy in Upper Dir, a district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, killing at least 10 military personnel, while several others were left missing. The sources further said that the security forces retaliated to attack and killed 11 terrorists.
Militants from Afghanistan have several times attacked the checkposts in Upper Dir, causing causalities to security forces in the area.
In an earlier attack on Friday, two soldiers and five Afghan militants were killed in Karakar in Barawal Tehsil of Upper Dir district, officials said.
