At least twenty persons are dead in the second day of heavy bombing by governmental troops on Deir ez-Zor, east Syria.
The report comes from opposition activists, according to whom the governmental troops have fallen back from the residential areas and are bombing from the suburbs.

Afghan terrorists on Sunday attacked a military convoy in Upper Dir, resulting in the killing of at least 21 people, including terrorists and soldiers.
According to reports, Afghan militants attacked a military convoy in Upper Dir, a district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, killing at least 10 military personnel, while several others were left missing. The sources further said that the security forces retaliated to attack and killed 11 terrorists.

Southern Darfur state authorities have defeated a group loyal to SLM of Mani Arko Minnawi’s faction infiltrated into the state from Mazeed and Kariri areas in northern Darfur amid inter clash erupted between the movement’s loyalists.
Southern Darfur deputy governor Abdel karim Musa told (smc) that regular forces chased the group which had been destined to eastern part of Jebel Mara.

Turkey’s military has confirmed further air strikes against Kurdish rebel bases in northern Iraq.
It said nine attacks were carried out by Turkish aircraft on hideouts of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), mostly in the Qandil region.
Last Wednesday the military said it had carried out similar strikes, a day after eight Turkish soldiers and 26 PKK rebels were killed in clashes.

At least one person was killed and several others have been injured in an al-Shabaab attack on Somali government troops in Elasha Biyaha neighborhood, on the southern outskirt of Mogadishu, reports said.
Eyewitnesses said the fighting erupted after fighters from al-Shabaab ambushed on Somali military pick-ups en route to Afgoye district, 30 kilometers south of Mogadishu, killing Afrah Ali Afrah, the police chief in Elasha Biyaha area.
