Darfur: Sudan Armed Forces repulse and kill 50 rebels of Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) in East Darfur
The spokesman of the Armed Forces, Al-Sawarmi Khalid Saad, announced that the Armed Forces repulsed remnants of the forces of the rebel Justice and Equality Movement at Karkada and Um-Shuwaika areas in East Darfur State.
Col. Al-Sawarmi said that the forces of the Justice and Equality have escaped and as a retaliatory act they attacked Tabon area by different weapons.
He affirmed that the Armed Forces repulsed these rebel forces and killed more than 50 of them and wounded a big number of others, adding that big number of vehicles were seen carrying the injured elements of the rebels for treatment in South Sudan.
