All brigades in Benghazi are to come under full control of the National Army, following an agreement that was struck between leading political and military figures together with local militia heads last night.
Officers from the Army are to be deployed to every militia barracks in Benghazi to assume full command, whilst several of the brigades involved in recent unrest, including Ansar Al-Sharia, are to be disbanded altogether.

Members of the Free Syrian Army attacked a Lebanese Army post Friday night near the northern border with Syria, the Army said in a statement Saturday.
No causalities were reported.
“For the second time in under a week, a unit from the Free Syrian Army [consisting of] a large number of gunmen entered Lebanese territory overnight via the outskirts of Arsal, where it attacked one of the Lebanese Army’s posts,” the statement said.

Puntland forces have been conducting security operations in Galkayo, the capital of Mudug region, arresting dozons of suspected al-Shabaab members, reports said on Tuesday.
The operations according to Puntand security officer Muhaydin Ahmed Muse who spoke to Shabelle Media, the operations have been to secure the city of Galkayo and to force out al-Shabaab agents active in the city.

The United Wa State Army (UWSA) has released around 20 soldiers from the Shan State Army-South (SSA-South) following a meeting between representatives of the two groups last Sunday, said an SSA-South spokesman.
The SSA-South soldiers were taken into custody for trespassing into UWSA-controlled area in Mongton township, eastern Shan State, on July 31. Since then, the two groups had been in tense negotiations for the release of those captured.
