KC sources report that the forests, located south of the village of Dattykh in the Sunzha district, were came under heavy artillery shelling on Tuesday night. Heavy artillery and mortar batteries were used.
It is to be recalled that a Mujaheddin unit attacked Russian invaders near Dattykh about 6:00 pm on Tuesday. Precise data on the losses of invaders is not available. Local residents, meanwhile, reported that many of Russian invaders have been killed and wounded.
Some Russian sources report that the attack was conducted against a military convoy of the 503rd infantry regiment stationed near the village of Troitskaya.
