KC sources report that the forests, located south of the village of Dattykh in the Sunzha district, were came under heavy artillery shelling on Tuesday night. Heavy artillery and mortar batteries were used.
It is to be recalled that a Mujaheddin unit attacked Russian invaders near Dattykh about 6:00 pm on Tuesday. Precise data on the losses of invaders is not available. Local residents, meanwhile, reported that many of Russian invaders have been killed and wounded.

Three soldiers from Burma’s military died on Monday following bloody clashes with the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) in the Mongkoe (or Munggu) area of northern Shan state, according to local residents.
Eyewitnesses told the Kachin News Group they saw the bodies of three soldiers, identified as members of Infantry Battalion No. 69, being carried away by their comrades near Nawng Heng, the site of heavy fighting all day Monday.

The London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says rebels have gained control of Maaret al-Numan, a town which controls a crucial communication line between Aleppo and Damascus.
According to its director, Maaret al-Numan, “the Syrian army has abandoned all checkpoints outside Maaret al-Numan, with the sole exception of the one controlling access to the town.”

Eleven people have been killed in a series of attacks by militants in southern Thailand.
Three paramilitary rangers are among the dead.
They were ambushed while travelling in the back of a ute in Pattani province.
Four rubber tappers, reportedly Buddhists, were also killed in two separate attacks in Pattani.

At least one woman was killed and another individual wounded when mortar shells hit Kadugli, the capital of South Kordofan state eye witnesses told Sudan Tribune.
According to reports received from Kadugli, four shells fell in different parts of the city: one in Kadugli market, the second nearby the headquarters of Popular Defence Forces, the third fell between buildings of the state radio and a school and the fourth landed near the branch of Bank of Sudan.
