French and malian soldiers have retaken Hombori during the night between thursday and friday, on the road to Gao, one for major cities in north Mali, occupied by jihadist rebels.
“French and malian soldiers are in Hombori end ensure its safety. The are not more jihadists here”, resident said, adding that soldiers will go toward Gao, almost at 200 km from Hombori.
