Libya: 5 killed and almost 100 injured in Tripoli clashes between rival militias
Health Minister Nurideen Doghman announced five people were killed and nearly 100 people were wounded during clashes between rival militias in Tripoli on Wednesday.
Reports of heavy gunfire and explosions carried on into the night, while heavily armed groups continued to fight for power.
“In total 97 people were wounded and five were killed in yesterday’s clashes,” Doghman said on state television.
In a separate incident in the southern desert town of Sabha, he said two people were killed and 17 were injured when three car bombs exploded in different areas late on Wednesday.
