Somali insurgents killed at least five people Friday in multiple attacks in the capital Mogadishu, with a suicide bomber ramming an African Union convoy while later a grenade was thrown into a hotel.
Police official Ahmed Muktar said that three people were killed when a car laden with explosives smashed into the armoured AU convoy, the latest in a string of explosions in the dangerous capital.

The islamic fundamentalist sect Boko Haram would have reached a cease-fire agreement with Nigerian government.
The agreement, referred by a nigerian agency, would be signed monday evening, but only today it has been shared, simultaneously maintaining the emergency state in some regions in north-east.

Militants attacked security posts near the Indian-Myanmar border and exchanged fire with the forces in Manipur, officials said today.
About 100 militants surrounded a post of 35th Assam Rifles at Aigejang hill area in interior Chandel district yesterday and fired at the personnel.

A powerful car bomb exploded in a Hezbollah stronghold in the southern suburbs of Beirut on Tuesday, wounding at least 53 people in the most troubling sign yet that Syria’s civil war is beginning to consume its smaller neighbor.
The blast in the heart of the Shiite militant group’s bastion of support raised the worrying specter of Lebanon being pulled into the violent Sunni-Shiite struggle in the region, with sectarian killings similar to those plaguing Syria and Iraq.

Thousands of Myanmar Army (MA) and United Wa State Army (UWSA) troops are encircling one another around a strategic mountain in Monghsat township, opposite Chiangmai and Chiangrai provinces, according to Thai and Shan sources.
Pakae, the Wa outpost, one mile south of Loi Hsarm Hsoom, where the Burma Army is guarding its communication line between Monghsat and Tachilek, is being surrounded by Burmese troops, who are in turn surrounded by Wa troops. Pakae is higher than Loi Hsarm Hsoom and poses as a threat to the later.
