Dozens of M23 rebels have been killed and twelve others captured since Wednesday during renewed fighting between the rebels and the Congolese Armed Forces, known as FARDC. According to military sources in the area, the FARDC also recovered three heavy weapons during these clashes.
The fighting intensified Thursday in the area between northern Kibati and southern Kibumba, commonly called “Three antennas.” Local sources indicate that shells probably fired by the M23 rebels fell into the Bugarura village, in the Munigi area located south of Kibati. A child and a woman were killed and five civilians injured by the explosion.

Israeli jets raided a Palestinian militant base fifteen kilometres south of Beirut early on Friday, a Lebanese police source said, a day after rockets were fired from Lebanon into Israel.
The source said the raid targeted a base of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command, (PFLP-GC), headed by Ahmed Jebril, in the area of Naamieh, south of the capital.

A soldier and a civilian lost their lives in a bomb blast targeting a Pakistan Army truck here in the Korangi No. 5 area on Thursday night.
10 soldiers were also among the nineteen people injured as a result of the blast the responsibility of which has been claimed by the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

In what the opposition called the worst atrocity of Syria’s civil war, antigovernment activists accused the government of killing hundreds of civilians, including many women and children, in a poison-gas attack targeting pro-rebel Damascus suburbs.
The Syrian government called reports of a massacre untrue, but the scale of the alleged carnage and the graphic videos of the dead and injured that surfaced Wednesday left many officials across the globe demanding action.

According to local authorities in western Herat province of Afghanistan, at least 83 people including 72 militants and 11 Afghan security forces were killed following clashes on Kandahar-Herat highway.
The officials further added that the clashes took place on Sunday in Chakab area fo Gulistan district, after militants ambushed a convoy of the Afghan Public Protection Force (APPF).
