Peru’s President Ollanta Humala said that security forces killed three high-ranking Shining Path members in southern Andean region of Ayacucho.
Humala told TV Peru that Alejandro Borda Casafranca, alias “Alipio,” and Martin Quispe Palomino, alias “Gabriel,” accused of being the number one and two in the Shining Path, were killed in a shootout with Peruvian security forces.

A Sinai-based militant group claimed responsibility for firing missiles at the Israeli city of Eilat in the early hours Tuesday morning, in response to what it described as “the killing of four of the Mujahideen in Sinai.”
In a statement acquired by Egypt Independent, the Mujahideen Shura Council in the Environs of Jerusalem said, “This was a swift response to the recent crime of the Jews, in which they killed four Mujahideen in Sinai, bombing them with a Jewish unmanned aircraft.”

More than 100 people were killed in violent clashes on Saturday between two Arab tribes over land and cattle in Sudan’s East Darfur state, the two sides said but local and national authorities kept silent.
Conflict between the Rizeigat and the Maalia , two pastoralists tribes, broke out on Sunday around a pasturage area located north of Al Da’ain the state capital. Both groups claim that Kilaikil area as part of their territory.

Syrian rebels claim to have killed at least 40 Hezbollah militants and Iranian agents in Damascus over the weekend.
According to their reports, rebels belonging to the Free Syrian Army detonated a car packed with explosives next to a compound belonging to the government defense apparatus, where the pro-Assad fighters were gathered. Members of the Shabiha, the regime’s civilian-clad enforcement apparatus, were reportedly also at the compound when the blast occurred.
