Suspected Boko Haram terrorists killed at least 12 people and burned down several homes in northeast Nigeria, officials said.
The Saturday attacks in the village of Sandiya, Borno, reportedly targeted those who do not openly support the militant Islamic group, the Nigerian Tribune said.

A string of government air strikes on rebel-held areas in northern Syria on Saturday killed at least 44 people, activists said, as al-Qaida-linked rebels captured one of the country’s oil fields in the east.
Rami Abdurrahman, the director of the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, said the attack on the rebel-held town of al-Bab near the northern city of Aleppo is the deadliest of the three raids. He said that strike killed 22.

A brief fire fight took place between KIA troops and a Burmese army column near Namlim Pa IDP camp on Nov 20 for about 20 minutes. KIA troops have been ordered by central command not to ambush and fire first. KIA sources say the fire fight started when Burmese army troops began to trespass their territory from Saga Nam Hkum village on Wednesday at around 3 pm.
A local source says about 100 soldiers entered Nam Ngawn Bum village on Nov 20 at about 9 pm.

A statement posted online said Ahrar al-Sham, Jaysh al-Islam, Suqour al-Sham, Liwa al-Tawhid, Liwa al-Haqq, Ansar al-Sham and the Kurdish Islamic Front had agreed to a “gradual merger”.
It said the new Islamic Front will be an “independent political, military and social formation” to topple the Assad regime and build an Islamic state.

The Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) on Wednesday retook Kaling area in South Kordofan state from the rebel Sudanese Revolutionary Front (SRF), a military spokesperson in Khartoum said.
“The armed forces today morning managed to drive the remnants of the so-called the Revolutionary Front from Kaling area in South Kordofan state,” Al-Sawarmy Khalid Saad, said.
