Syria: Warplanes continue Aleppo airstrikes for fifth day, target southern villages
Syrian warplanes continued to crush Aleppo for a fifth consecutive day Thursday, according to Agence France-Presse.
Sources on the ground have said that Thursday’s attacks have expanded to include villages southeast of Syria’s second largest city.
According to the Aleppo Media Centre, “After four days of helicopters dropping barrel bombs on Aleppo city, the regime changed the direction of its raids and struck the village of Tal Alam near Sfeira.”
Air strikes were also reported north of Aleppo city on the rebel-held villages of Daret Ezza, Marea, Minbej, and Anadan. The villages have been under rebel forces for over a year and have been frequent targets of regime bombings.
