Two groups claimed responsibility for a rocket attacks on the northeastern Lebanese city of Hermel Tuesday, citing Hezbollah’s military intervention in neighboring Syria.
“The Nusra Front in Lebanon and the Marwan Hadid Brigades announce the targeting of strongholds of Iran’s party [Hezbollah] with 10 Grad-type rockets in the Hermel region,” they said in statement posted in a Twitter link.

South Sudanese President Salva Kiir declared a curfew in Juba, accusing soldiers allied with the former vice president of attempting a coup overnight in the capital.
In a press conference in the capital Monday, Kiir said a group of soldiers allied with former Vice President Riek Machar launched an attack late Sunday at army headquarters.

UN peacekeeping troops in Democratic Republic of Congo have launched an offensive against Rwandan ethnic Hutu rebels operating in the eastern part of the country, the UN command said Wednesday.
“MONUSCO’s intervention brigade launched operations against the FDLR (Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda) yesterday, Tuesday, in Kalembe, in the Masisi region,” the mission said on Twitter.
