The Philippines and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) signed on Saturday the last of the four annexes to the Bangsamoro framework that seeks to end the conflict in Mindanao.
Peace negotiators also signed the addendum on Muslim territorial waters in the southern Philippines in the talks held in Malaysia.

FOUR blasts, including a suicide bombing at the police headquarters, rocked the Egyptian capital and nearby areas Friday, killing six and wounding nearly 100 on the eve of the anniversary of the 2011 uprising.
The first powerful blast was reportedly caused by a suicide attacker, who rammed his explosives-laden vehicle into a security fence around the Cairo Security Directorate, killing four and injuring 76, officials at the Interior and Health Ministry said.

Eleven Islamists fighters were killed and one French soldier was wounded in the latest military operation against militants in Mali’s turbulent desert north, according to security sources.
“The French military operation in the vicinity of Timbuktu has finished. Eleven terrorists were killed, one French soldier was injured, but his life is not in danger,” a French official told the AFP news agency on Friday.

South Sudan’s government and rebel Sudan People’s Liberation Movement in Opposition (SPLM in Opposition) on Thursday signed a ceasefire agreement in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, to end over a month-old fighting in the world’s youngest nation.
Fighting between President Salva Kiir government Army and forces loyal to former vice-president, Riek Machar, broke out in mid-December following what Kiir alleged was a coup attempt staged by his former deputy, an allegation the latter denies.

Air strikes against militant targets in Iraq’s restive western province of Anbar killed at least 50 militants, the defence ministry said Wednesday.
Security forces “received accurate information and carried out painful and effective air strikes against terrorist gatherings in Anbar yesterday, January 21, that killed more than 50 terrorists,” a ministry statement said.
