A top activist of Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Asmatullah Shaheen was killed along three others on Monday when anonymous armed assailants opened fire on a vehicle in Miranshah, North Waziristan.
According to sources, the incident of shooting occurred near Darga Mandi area of Ghulam Khan Tehsil early today morning.

Acording to reports, dozens of Afghan national soldiers and Taliban militants were killed or injured following militants attack in eastern Kunar province of Afghanistan.
The incident took place Ghaziabad district early Sunday morning, leaving at least 19 Afghan army soldiers dead, local officials said.

Arab Sunni Tribes in the restive Province of Diyala have mobilized their tribesmen to defend their areas against any possible penetration by ISIL, the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant.
ISIL, which is affiliated to the terror group al-Qaeda, has strengthened positions in the western Province of Anbar, controlling parts of the provincial town, Ramadi, as well as the strategic town of Falluja.

Armed Basque separatist group ETA has put some of its arsenal of guns and explosives beyond use, an international group monitoring a ceasefire said yesterday, but it was unclear how much of the weapons stockpile had been scrapped.
The move by the Basque group is similar to the decommissioning process in Northern Ireland, where nationalist and pro-British paramilitaries disposed of their weapons in front of independent witnesses as part of a peace deal.
