Algeria: 14 soldiers killed in terrorist attack near Tizi Ouzou
Fourteen soldiers have been killed in a terrorist attack committed Saturday evening at 10 p.m. in the commune of Iboudraren (50km southeast of Tizi-Ouzou), security source said Sunday.
A convoy of the People’s National Army (ANP), which was returning after securing Thursday’s presidential election, has been surprised by an “important” terrorist group which has enmeshed them in the place called Carrière, the same source added.
Eleven soldiers were fatally injured on impact and three others, severely hit, succumbed to their injuries, the source said.
