Somaliland government has for the first time announced that the country armed forces took over the town of Taleeh without any resistance from the Khaatumo militia today and are in full control of Taleeh district and its environs this according to the officials Somaliland army spokesperson.
The spokesman of Somaliland armed forces Colonel Osman Abdillahi Said in press briefing today held at the Ministry of Defense said, ‘As of today at midday Somaliland armed forces units entered the town of Taleeh without any resistance from the so called Khaatumo militia are now in full control of Taleeh town.

The banned terror outfit, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) announced on Wednesday its decision of not extending the ceasefire, saying the government had failed to respond positively to the militant organisation’s ceasefire of more than 40 days.
In a statement, TTP spokesman Shahidullah Shaihid said that the Taliban Shura had decided not to extend the ceasefire because more than 50 of their activists were killed in custody during the past 40 days. He claimed that the government had failed to meet even the “justifiable demands” of the militants.

Pro-Russian militants in eastern Ukraine have seized six Ukrainian armoured vehicles, the defence ministry in Kiev says.
Reports say the occupants were disarmed after the vehicles were blockaded by locals in the city of Kramatorsk.

A South Sudanese government official has officially admitted that rebel forces were “in control” of Bentiu, the strategic oil-rich capital of Unity state.
“They (rebels) are inside Bentiu now. It is under their complete control,” Unity state’s deputy governor, Stephen Mabek Lang told reporters Tuesday.

Syrian soldiers backed by Hezbollah fighters recaptured the town of Maaloula, north of Damascus, on Monday, military sources and state television said, further squeezing rebels’ supply routes through the Qalamoun mountains into Lebanon.
Islamist fighters, some from the al Qaeda-linked al-Nusra Front, had taken over part of the ancient Christian town in December and held several nuns captive until releasing them in March in a prisoner exchange deal.
