As the militant Islamic sect, Boko Haram continues its incessant attacks in Nigeria; Cameroon has successfully been resisting the the sect in its territory.
Reuters reported on Sunday that Cameroonian troops killed two members of the sect on Saturday.

Colombia’s largest rebel group, the FARC, have announced a ceasefire of three weeks to allow elections scheduled for June 15 to take place without guerrilla attacks.
The ceasefire was announced by the FARC’s commander-in-chief, “Timochenko,” in an open letter directed to hard-line presidential candidate Oscar Ivan Zuluaga who has been critical of ongoing peace talks between the group and the administration of President Juan Manuel Santos, who is seeking reelection.

At least 15 pro-Russian rebels were killed in clashes with government troops at a border crossing with Russia, an aide to the Ukrainian interior minister said Thursday.
Speaking on a television show late Thursday, Anton Herashchenko said Ukrainian border guards clashed earlier in the day with armed men who came from Russia in trucks and an infantry vehicle and tried to cross the border at the village of Marynivka in eastern Ukraine.

Seven people were killed, Friday morning, in a double car bomb attack in Tahrawa, a village inhabited by families from the Shabak ethnic group, near the city of Mosul, 360 kilometers (225 miles) northwest of Baghdad, according to authorities cited by the Associated Press. Police said 43 people were wounded in the attack.

A series of battles took place this week between Kachin Independence Army (KIA) troops and a combined force of Burmese Army and Pyi Tu Tsits (local militia groups backed by Burmese Army).
Kachin people militia (MHH) troops under the 5th section of the KIA’s 36th Battalion on Wednesday fought against Burmese army’s 323rd Light Infantry Regiment (LIR) troops at Nam Ba Tek, Pang Sai Township in northern Shan State. The battle took place at about 2:10 pm as about 50 government troops who had travelled from Hpai Kawng village to Pang Sai City encountered Kachin people militia (MHH) troops at Nam Ba Tek.
