Ukraine: Putin and Poroshenko largely agree on ceasing fire in Ukraine
Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Ukrainian counterpart Pyotr Poroshenko have “to a great extent” agreed on the steps to cease fire in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Wednesday.
“During today’s phone call Putin and Poroshenko have really exchanged opinions and substantially agreed on the steps to promote a speedy cease fire between the Ukrainian military forces and rebels on the country’s south east as soon as possible,” Peskov said.
