At least 100 militants from ISIL terrorist group have been killed in a series of violent clashes with government troops across Iraq.
The terrorists were killed during mop-up operations in the towns of Haditha, Barwanah and Khafajah in the west of the provincial capital city of Ramadi.
This comes as a series of Iraqi military airstrikes have also killed 50 ISIL militants in the city of Fallujah and its surrounding areas.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi has ordered the military to halt shelling of populated and residential areas held by the ISIL terrorists.
