Dozens of Houthis were killed, injured and arrested as violence intensified on Monday in Yemen’s central city of Baidha where militants from the al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) and the Zaidi Houthi Group continued to fight.
Informed sources said AQAP militants escalated their battles and attacks including car bombs against Houthi militants in the Rada town killing, wounding and arresting more than 80 Houthis.

Turkey’s foreign minister has confirmed that the country has been providing assistance to Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Peshmerga forces to cross into the Syrian border town of Kobane in order to fight against jihadists.
“We are helping the Peshmerga cross into Kobane. Our discussions are still underway,” Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavusoglu said Oct. 20 during a joint press conference with Tunisian Foreign Minister Mongi Hamdi.

Syria’s main Kurdish rebel group, the People’s Protection Units (YPG), confirmed Sunday it was fighting alongside other rebel forces against Islamic State (ISIS) in the besieged town of Kobane and other Kurdish areas.
It said it wanted to strengthen this alliance which was essential to defeating the jihadists.

Fighting erupted for the second time this month between the Burma Army and an allied force of ethnic armed groups in northern Shan State this week, according to an officer of one rebel group.
Tar Kyan Hein of the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) told The Irrawaddy on Friday that the Burma Army Light Infantry Divisions 11 and 99 invaded rebel territories of Loi Kang village in Tarmoenye, a sub-township of Kutkhai, where a similar incident in early October reportedly left 17 government soldiers dead after they tried to advance on TNLA territory.

Shiite rebels seeking to expand their territory across Yemen have clashed with Sunni tribesmen and Al-Qaeda fighters in violence that has left dozens dead, officials said Saturday.
Yemen has been dogged by political instability since an Arab Spring-inspired uprising forced veteran strongman Ali Abdullah Saleh from power in 2012.
