Libya: Libyan warplane attacks arms depot of Islamist militias in Zuwara
A Libyan national army warplane Tuesday bombed an ammunition depot in an Islamist militants-controlled area, according to a military source.
The source told Xinhua that a MiG-21 fighter carried out an airstrike against an ammunition storage site in the town of Zuwarah, some 120 km west of capital Tripoli. There were no casualties.
“The site was a source of ammunition supply for the Islamist armed alliance Libya Dawn. It is a vital and important strategic location for them. We were able to destroy it,” the source added.
The information office of Libya Dawn claimed that the site is used for food supply.
