Well drilled: The fighters hold their weapons in formation at their training camp just outside Donetsk
Hundreds of fighters from the Russian republic of Chechnya have formed their own ‘Death Battalion’ to join the insurgency in east Ukraine.
The 300 or so volunteers say they are mostly former state security troops in the mainly Muslim region, where Moscow has fought two bloody wars since the fall of the Soviet Union.

Kurdistan Regional Government Ministry of Peshmerga has announced Wednesday that 727 Peshmergas have been martyred and 3,564 injured in the fighting with the ISIS since 10 June 2014.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Peshmerga, the aftermath of 34 other fighters lost in action remains unknown.

The Afghan security forces in clearance operations jointly conducting by Afghan National Police and personnel of the National Directorate of Security in the provinces of the country, killed 15 rebels wounded 3 and arrested 4 in past 24 hours.
A statement issued by the ministry of interior states that the operations were conducted in Kandahar, Logar, Khost, Uruzgan, Maidan-Wardak, Paktika, Ghazni, Kunduz, Baghlan, Nooristan and Kunar provinces.

At least seven Yemeni soldiers were killed and nine others wounded after suicide car bomb attacks on a military base in the city of Seyoun in southern Yemen on Tuesday.
Two car bombs detonated at the military headquarters in Hadramout province in the northeast of the country, Yemeni intelligence officials told CNN.

U.S.-led coalition airstrikes against Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant left 70 militants dead in northern Iraq, an Iraqi army commander said Monday.
Hiva Abdollah, deputy commander of Kirkuk Operations Unit, said the coalition’s warplanes bombed ISIL positions in Maqtap Khalit and Talalvard, about 7 miles from Kirkuk province.
