The Operation to Liberate Sinjar started by Kurdish joint forces of defense in the Yazidi town on 19 December is continuing.
HPG (People’s Defense Forces) Sinjar Command and YBŞ (Sinjar Resistance Units) General Command reported in a written statement that clashes erupted yesterday afternoon after HPG and YBŞ forces noticed and intervened a group of ISIS members that attempted to attack the areas held by Kurdish forces.

Burmese army’s 5th Light Infantry Regiment troops on Sunday launched a surprise attack on Kachin volunteer troops under KIA’s 6th Battalion near Kahtan Yang village located on Mogaung-Hpakant motor road at around 4:30 pm.

Pakistani forces targeted 12 Indian posts late last night along the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir, at an area where cross border firing killed an Indian jawan and four Pakistani soldiers hours before.
Reports suggest that a civilian was injured in mortar shelling by Pakistani troops through the night in Samba district, 41 km from Jammu. This is the third ceasefire violation by Pakistan in two days.

The Somali national army says it has captured the strategic town of Daynunay from the militant group al-Shabaab. The small town which is 45 kilometer outside Baidoa was a stronghold of the group for over two years.
According to Somali military official Hussein Noor Adan on Tuesday, the insurgents had used the town to launch raids on travelers and attacks on government and AMISOM troops.
