The military Saturday repelled an attack on Gombe by Boko Haram who, as they retreated, warned residents not to participate in the country’s elections in March.
Scores of the rebels assaulted Gombe in the morning and engaged in heavy fighting with the army. Two air force jets also attacked the rebels.

At least 26 people have been killed in clashes between Yemen’s Shia Houthi fighters and al-Qaeda-linked militants in the southern province of al-Bayda.
Heavy fighting led to the deaths of 16 Houthi fighters and 10 Sunni militiamen in Yemen’s al-Bayda city, unidentified security officials and tribal sources said.

Terrorists suffered significant losses confronting the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Suspected Nigerian Boko Haram militants have carried out an attack on Chad overnight, the first such assault on Chadian soil, security sources say.
Officials said the fighters crossed Lake Chad by motorboat and attacked a village on the shores of the lake.
