Scores of terrorists linked to the al-Nusra Front and the ISIS have been killed in airstrikes carried out by Syrian warplanes outside Idlib, Der Ezzour, Hassaka, Homs, Hama, Quneitra, Aleppo, Daraa and Damascus.
According to the official news agency (SANA), army units eliminated dozens of al-Nusra front terrorists, some of them were of Jordanian, Saudi and Uzbekistani nationals, in al-Tamane’a, Saraqeb, Taftinaz, Abo Duhur, Kafr Rohin, Hafsarjeh, Bennish and Silia towns in Idlib countryside.

Afghan security forces have killed 10 fighters who claimed to be from Islamic State (IS) in Afghanistan, officials said, amid reports that growing numbers of disgruntled Taliban fighters have joined the militant group that controls much of Syria and Iraq.
Defense ministry spokesman Dawlat Waziri said the militants were all associated with the Islamic State, known in Afghanistan as “Daesh”. They were killed in an operation in the southern province of Helmand on Sunday.

Fighting broke out again on Sunday morning between South Sudan’s warring parties in northern Upper Nile State, an area near the border with Sudan. The clashes started early in the morning and lasted for several hours.
Sources inside Renk, the nearest large town, said the clashes were likely the result of rebel efforts to recapture areas taken by government forces last week. This was confirmed by a rebel spokesman, SPLA-IO Capt. Paul Malith Koang Riaw, who claimed in a phone interview on Sunday that their forces captured the village of Gabat.

Violent clashes erupted between Islamic State-affiliated militants and militias aligned with the Islamist self-declared government near Sirte in north-central Libya.
After surrounding the Islamic State-controlled city of Sirte for several weeks, the militias were about 16 kilometers (10 miles) west of the center of the city on Sunday. Other militias fighting their way into Sirte from the east are only 3 kilometers (1.8 miles) from the center.

At least 15 people were killed and more than 70 injured when two Taliban suicide bombers attacked churches in Lahore on Sunday, sparking mob violence in which two other suspected militants died.
