Syrian army has obliterated several terrorist hideouts belonging to the al-Nusra Front in Daraa, Quneitra and Idlib, according to the official news agency (SANA).
The agency quoted a military source as saying today that army units eliminated many terrorists near al-Sultan fuel station, which is located on Gheraz prison road south of al-N’emeh town in the eastern countryside of Daraa.

Kurdish Peshmerga forces have retaken five villages from the Islamic State after launching an offensive Saturday in the south of the oil-rich province of Kirkuk, security officials told Rudaw Sunday.
The villages of Daquq, Auzeria and Atshana were among the most important areas retaken by Kurdish forces on Saturday. According to Peshmerga commanders in Kirkuk, the southeastern villages of Auzeria and Atshana were of key value to ISIS fighters to link areas under their Control to Daquq.

At least 21 people have been killed in fighting near Libya’s capital Tripoli, military sources say as the country’s rival parliaments met in Morocco for UN-brokered peace talks aimed at forming a unity government to end the unrest.
Pro-government forces clashed with fighters from the Islamist-backed Fajr Libya militia alliance in Tajoura, 30km east of Tripoli, as the forces of the internationally recognised government launched an attack against the militia’s camp in a new attempt to regain control of the capital.

Twin blasts in Afghanistan’s Jalalabad have killed at least 37 people and injured over 100. A spokesperson for the Islamic State terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the attack, which would make it first attack by the Islamic State in Afghanistan.
Most of those injured in the two blasts in Jalalabad are in a critical condition and casualties are expected to increase, according to Inamullah Miakhel, spokesperson for Afghanistan’s Health Department.

Heavy airstrikes by a Saudi-led coalition continued Friday in Yemen, while al-Qaeda made gains in the country’s east.
The Sunni Arab-led coalition carried out bombings in several cities, including the capital, Sana’a, the country’s second-largest city, Taiz, and the southern port city of Aden.
