Afghanistan: Afghan National Army airstrikes leave several Islamic State (IS) and Taliban fighters dead
At least 16 insurgents belonging to Taliban and Islamic State (IS) have been killed in air strikes in western Farah province, an official said on Saturday.
Mohammad Hanif Rezaee, a spokesman for the 207th Zafar Military Corps, told Pajhwok Afghan News that Afghan National Army (ANA) jets targeted Sargzan, Gulshtar, Dahna Jamal, Ghazi and Dahna Kashanak areas of Anardara district late Friday.
He claimed at least 16 insurgents had been eliminated in the bombardment while five vehicles and weapons’ cache had also been destroyed in the air assault.
