Ethiopia: Ogaden National Liberation Front rebels capture Ethiopian allied fighters after fighting in southeast

ONLF captured 6 Ethiopian allied paramilitary unit known as Special (Liyuu) police on Thursday. In the last fighting, one of ONLF fighters from Storm (Duufaan) unit was wounded and suffered a minor injury, according to ONLF fighter and residents

The Clash occurred in the town of La’biga, in the Degahbur region.

Supporters of the mostly‪ #‎ONLF‬ rebels used Facebook and Twitter to distribute photos of men in Ethiopian allied fighters uniform who were purported to be the captured soldiers. This could not be independently verified and Regional President Abdi Mohamoud Omar could not be reached Friday for comment about those rebel claims .
