Burma-Myanmar: Battles rage as Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) offers a nationwide cease-fire
A battle took place between KIA’s 7th Battalion troops and a combined force of Burmese Army troops under 33rd Light Infantry Division and Putao-based 46th and 138th Light Infantry Regiments on the road between Sumpra Bum and Mali Yang on July 6.
In northern Shan State, KIA’s 38th Battalion troops engaged in a battle against Burmese Army troops under 77th Light Infantry Division (LID) near Nam Jak village in Muse Township on July 5 at 8:30 am, reported KIA front line source.
TNLA source said its 773rd Battalion troops launched an attack on Burmese Army’s 324th LIR position in Namtu Township on the same day at 1:15 am.
Before the attack, TNLA’s 773rd Battalion troops battled Burmese Army troops under Lashio-based Northeastern Regional Command at Nam Tau Kone village in Namtu Township on the previous day at 9:50 am
