Iraq: Iraqi forces liberate Sufia region, killed 35 Islamic State terrorists
The Iraqi forces took control of the Sufia region located in the east of Ramadi city. “Armenpress” reports citing Arabic media that 35 terrorists were killed during the military operations, some others fled by Euphrates River.
One of the commanders of the armed forced of Anbar Province mentioned that they are advancing to liberate other regions of the province. He also informed that terrorists of the “Islamic State” have been also killed in the al-Jazira region.
Earlier information came that more than 1500 schools had been destroyed by the “Islamic State” in Anbar Province since the blockade of the province. “Anbar has been hit badly… More than 1,500 schools have been partially or completely destroyed,” Eid Ammash, the spokesman for the provincial council said.
