Turkish warplanes launched a massive air operation early on Sept.8 against the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in northern Iraq, killing as many as 40 militants, the state-run Anadolu Agency (AA) said.
More than 50 Turkish jets were involved in the six hours of raids, killing “35 to 40 terrorists according to preliminary findings”, AA said.

Up to 14 members of Islamic State (IS) militants were killed on Monday in an air strike and clashes with the Iraqi security forces in the country’s largest province of Anbar, a provincial security source said, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
The clashes erupted in the early morning when dozens of IS militants attacked the troops and allied militias, known as Hashd Shaabi, stationed in compound of Fallujah University, just south of the IS-held city of Fallujah, the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.

Around 1,000 soldiers from Qatar’s Armed Forces have been deployed to Yemen, as part of the Arab coalition’s fight against Houthi rebels, Al Jazeera has learned.
An Al Jazeera journalist, reporting from the Saudi-Yemen border, said the troops were backed by more than 200 armoured vehicles and 30 Apache combat helicopters.

PKK terrorists targeted Turkish soldiers in a landmine attack late Sunday in the town of Dağlıca of Turkey’s eastern Hakkari province, wounding and killing several soldiers, according to security sources.
The incident took place on a road in the town of Dağlıca Sunday evening, as two armed vehicles belonging to Turkish soldiers were crossing.
14 soldiers were killed in the attack, reported Reuters and added that more casualties are feared, although Turkish security officials have not released an official statement yet.

Warplanes from the United Arab Emirates have struck rebel targets across Yemen, a day after at least 60 soldiers from a Saudi-led coalition, most of them from the UAE, were killed in an attack in central Yemen.
Medical sources at hospitals in the capital Sanaa, which has been under effective control of the rebel Houthi militia for almost a year, said about 24 civilians were killed in the city as a result of the coalition’s attacks.
