Afghanistan: Security forces retake some areas of Tagab killing 9 rebels
Nine Taliban insurgents were killed and some areas of the Tagab district retaken by security personnel as a result of an operation in central Kapisa province, officials said on Thursday.
Poza Padshah, Badar Aab, Seh Darakh and Puza-i-Tatarkhel areas of Tagab were cleared of insurgents on Wednesday evening during an operation by security personnel, the provincial police chief said.
Abdul Karim Faiq told Pajhwok Afghan News nine Taliban fighters, including two Pakistani nationals, had been killed and six others wounded.
But a resident of the district, Hazratullah Siddiqui, said three fighters were killed and as many others wounded during the clash.
