Israel: Israel strikes Hamas in Gaza in retaliation to alleged rocket fire
Locals said the two Israeli airstrikes hit a military facility operated by Hamas and caused damage to nearby homes.
The Israeli military carried out two airstrikes in the Palestinian Gaza strip Wednesday as a response to a rocket fired from the strip toward Israel. The Israeli attacks targeted two military facilities operated by the Hamas movement, which runs government affairs in the strip.
Both sides confirmed the airstrikes and there were no reports of casualties from either the rocket or the retaliatory strikes.
Sources in Gaza told Ma’an News agency that the strikes targeted Hamas training camps and also caused material damages to nearby homes.
