Nigeria: Cameroon soldiers kill 70 people of a Nigerian village

Cameroonian troops have killed at least 70 Nigerian villagers while chasing Islamic insurgents in the Gwoza area of Borno state in northeastern Nigeria, fleeing villagers said. It was the second time innocent Nigerian villagers would die for Boko Haram sins.

Troops entered Kirawa-Jimni village on Sunday, asked where Boko Haram insurgents were and started shooting, residents said.

Mali: France anti-terrorist forces kill 10 alleged al-Mourabitoun group militants in Mali

French anti-terrorist forces operating in the Sahel region have attacked terrorist targets in northern Mali, notably striking a mobile column of the Al-Mourabitoun group there, a Defence Ministry statement said.

The operation took place two days ago in the Menaka region of Mali where troops from the “Barkhane Operation” intercepted an armed column of fighters, killing 10 militants in a four-hour fire-fight, the statement said.

Yemen: Pro-government forces gain ground against Houthi rebels in Hajjah province

Yemen’s pro-government forces on Tuesday seized key ground in Hajjah province from Houthi rebels near the insurgents’ stronghold in Saada.

The gains came as Saudi Arabia shot down another ballistic missile fired from Yemen.

Iraq: Iraqi troops advance into city centre in battle to retake Ramadi from Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL)

The Iraqi army stands on the verge of recapturing Ramadi from Isil after troops advanced into the centre of the city, according to the Baghdad government.

Terrorists from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isil) seized Ramadi, the capital of Anbar province and a city with about 450,000 people, as long ago as May.

Syria: Christian Female Protection Forces of the Land Between the Two Rivers battalion formed to fight ISIS in Syria

A group of about 50 Syrian Christian women have left their homes, jobs, and children to form a new battalion to fight the encroaching ISIS terrorists.

The battalion is called the Female Protection Forces of the Land Between the Two Rivers - referring to the Tigris and the Euphrates.
