Iraq: Mass grave of 18 Islamic State victims found in Ramadi
Iraqi security forces uncovered more than a dozen corpses in Iraq Monday, just a month after the Iraqi military retook the city of Ramadi from the Islamic State group, also known as ISIS.
“ISIS launched an assault against (an Iraqi army building) with 10 vehicles rigged with explosives in the area of Sarsar, northern Ramadi”, said Brig Gen. Ismail Mahlawi, commander of the Anbar operations command.
He says he knows exactly who to blame.
Militant fighters of the Islamic State (ISIS) renewed their attacks against Iraqi army positions in Anbar province, impeding the latter’s progress, officials and media sources reported on Wednesday. “The group uses various heinous and savage acts to liquidate and kill our people”.
