The Kurdistan Freedom Hawks — known as the TAK — claimed responsibility for this week’s deadly bombing in Turkey’s capital, calling it “revenge” for Turkish military actions and warning tourists their lives could be next.
The group, a splinter of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, or PKK, described Wednesday’s attack that killed at least 28 people in central Ankara as a “suicide revenge mission” for Turkish military operations in the southeastern Turkish district of Cizre.

In an attack carried out on a Sudanese army unit in the Blue Nile state on Wednesday, the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement -North (SPLM-N) fighters claimed killing 16 government soldiers.
In a statement issued on Wednesday evening, the SPLM-N official spokesperson Arnu Ngutulu Lodi said the ambush took place in Alyarmuk seven km south Bot town.

Two separate attacks in Mohmand district of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) on Thursday killed at least nine personnel of the Khasadar Force.
According to local media, unidentified assailants opened fire at a security checkpost in Karapa area of Pandyali tehsil in Mohmand Agency killing seven Khasadar personnel.

The United Nations says convoys carrying “life-saving aid” have reached five besieged areas of Syria.
UN officials said trucks carrying food, medical equipment, and medicine for almost 100,000 people had reached rebel-held Madaya, Muadhamiya, and Zabadani near Damascus, and pro-government northern villages of Foah and Kefraya on February 17.
