Israel: Israeli air strikes kill 10-year-old boy in Gaza Strip
Israeli warplanes struck the Gaza Strip early on Saturday, killing a 10-year-old boy and injuring his sister, Gaza health ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra said.
Yasin Abu Hussa, 10, died in a raid targeting a base of the Hamas movement’s military wing in Beit Lahiya, in the north of the Strip, Qudra said, one of four strikes the Israeli military said it carried out in response to rocket fire into Israel on Friday night.
The Israeli news website The Times of Israel also quoted Hamas’ health ministry as saying Yasin’s 13-year-old sister was injured in the air strike.
Rockets fired from the Gaza Strip by Palestinian militants hit southern Israel on Friday night without causing damage or injuries, the Israeli army said.
