Turkey: Turkish jets bomb Islamic State (IS) positions north of Iraq
Turkish fighter jets have heavily pounded the Islamic State (IS) position near Mosul, in the north of Iraq.
In response to a recent IS offensive in northern Iraq against the Turkish troops, Turkish warplanes carried out airstrikes against four IS positions in the area on Saturday.
According to a statement by the Turkish army, revealed that the airstrikes will continue in coordination with the international coalition led by the US.
Scores of Turkish troops, equipped by heavy arms, have previously been deployed to a military base near Bashiq in northern Iraq to train Sunni militia Hashd al-Watani and help them with the liberation of Mosul.
