Tense of fighting is mounting in the north-eastern region of Bari after fighters from al-Shabaab reportedly spotted in the remote coastal village of Bandarbeyla, reports said.
Heavily armed forces from Puntland state of Somalia moved to the area, to prevent Al shabaab from expanding their presence into the region, according to sources spoke to Radio Shabelle.

A spokesman for the Egyptian army says it has killed 60 Islamic militants in northern Sinai, where armed forces have been battling fighters affiliated with the Islamic State group for two years.
Brig. Gen. Mohammed Samir said in a statement posted on the army’s official Facebook page on Friday that anti-terrorism forces backed by fighter jets targeted “terrorists’ hideouts,” killing 60 militants and injuring 40 others. He says that 27 4×4 trucks and 32 weapons depots were destroyed.

A triple suicide bombing on a Saudi-led coalition military camp in southern Yemen killed 22 people Friday, including civilians, witnesses and medical officials said.
The Islamic State affiliate claimed responsibility for the attacks in a short statement carrying the name of the group’s news agency, Amaq.

A man wearing a suicide belt walked into an Iraqi soccer stadium Friday and blew himself up — killing at least 25 people and wounding 90 more, security officials said.
A crowd had gathered for a ceremony to mark a championship for a popular local soccer team when the bomb exploded, the head of the Babil province security committee, Baydhan al Hamdani, told CNN.

The second-in-command of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS, IS, ISIL, or Daesh) has been killed in a United States (US) raid in Syria, during a major coup in the fight against the jihadists, reports said.
Abd ar-Rahman Mustafa al-Qaduli was killed this month, The Daily Beast and NBC News quoted unnamed defense officials as saying on Friday, March 25.
