Somalia: New terrorist group Jahba East Africa challenges al-Shabaab terrorist group
A new terrorist group has announced its presence in East Africa, saying it has militants in Somalia, Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
The Jahba East Africa group announced its presence yesterday on Thursday, April 7 in a statement whereby they also pledged allegiance to Isis.
“We are the new era in the region and we give our oath of allegiance to Isis leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. We recognize him as the rightful leader of all Muslims,” read the statement as quoted in the Independent UK.
The group also discredited al-Shabaab terrorist group and urged members of the group to leave and join their new organisation.
