One security guard was killed and four others were injured on Wednesday in an ISIS attack on a military checkpoint in Misrata, the second on the same checkpoint within a year.
Security sources from Misrata said an ISIS suicide bomber blew his car up at Al-Sadadah checkpoint southeast of the city. Two of the wounded guards are in critical conditions.

Five Turkish soldiers and 30 Kurdish militants have been killed in the past 24 hours in attacks and clashes across Turkey’s turbulent southeast region, security sources and the army said on Tuesday.
An estimated 57 people, including eight civilians, were wounded in the attacks, they said.

Burmese army’s 63rd Light Infantry Battalion troops on Friday attacked KIA 18th Battalion’s Nbu Kawng post at around 9 am, reported a KIA frontline source. Nbu Kawng post is located between Nam San Yang and Ban Dawng, just a few miles from KIA headquarters Laiza.
KIA source said Burmese army’s artillery unit pounded the KIA post with heavy artillery for about an hour. A KIA officer said, “According to information we received in the past days, Burmese army has a plan to attack and clear all KIA posts located on western side of Myitkyina-Bhamo road”. More troops have arrived in Namsan Yang, Gangdau Yang, Galang Ja Pa, and Seng Mai Pa since April 7.

The Afghan Taliban made the announcement on Tuesday in an email sent to media organizations around the world.
Every year the insurgent group declares the beginning of its “spring offensive” - the warm-weather fighting season - although this year the Taliban continued fighting in winter without a seasonal break.

The Islamic State (ISIS) managed to recapture the town of al-Rai on the Syrian border with Turkey on Monday morning.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitor reported that the town fell to ISIS after violent clashes with rebels.
