Turkey: Turkish and coalition strikes in Syria kill 63 Daesh terrorists
Turkish forces and coalition aircraft have killed at least 63 Daesh terrorists in northern Syria, a security source said Monday.
The strikes by artillery and armed aerial drones followed rocket attacks on Turkey’s southern Kilis province from Syria on Sunday. Eight people were wounded in two attacks launched from Daesh-controlled territory.
According to the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on speaking to the media, the Turkish military struck with howitzers and rockets in response, targeting the Tughali area of Syria’s Aleppo province and killing 34 terrorists.
Four armed coalition Predator drones also took off from Incirlik air base in Adana province, southern Turkey, on Sunday, striking Daesh targets in the towns of Dudyan and Yanni Yaban and the Tathimus region.
